When I wrote these poems, I let these thoughts hold a place in my heart. You shouldn’t hold or feel these feelings but as we may know, it’s hard to let it go. When I felt this way, I found a way to vent my pain through poetry. Posting on social media so, I was heard. It was my cry for help. I still do it. Poetry is my therapy. It may not be yours or the right approach to get help but you should find help even when you think you don’t need it. These words that I wrote, shouldn’t give your depression, hate, or any ugly emotion the acceptance it searches for. These words should only give the reader insight into how a mind thinks when those thoughts run freely. You are well deserving of happiness. You don’t need to hold onto that anger. You should know there are people who care about your wellbeing. You shouldn’t hold on to negative feelings. Please don’t be afraid to ask for help.
